will porting my intake manifold help . its just a bolt on car right now . just want to see if it would help or just be a waste of time

 

Don't bother.

People get too hung up on the intake because it always was a good mod on gen1s and is a good mod on gen3s. The LT1 on the otherhand has a decent but not perfect manifold that works well for a WIDE range of purposes. When you get to the point of ported heads then let the head porter do the intake with them.

 

I read on here somewhere its good for atleast 5hp. I bought an intake on this board that was port matched to the heads and bored for a 58mm tb. Installing it next weekend.
