Ok my 383 is just about finished getting built. The thing is right now i am running comp pushrods, lifters and 1.6RR on my stock 350 with about 7K miles on them. Will i be able to transfer that stuff over to the new motor? I dont want to spend all that money again.

 

I don't see why not, unless you need a diff sized lifter...but that would depend on the cam I guess. Other than that if everything works properly why not reuse them?

 

Depending if there was block or head work done where stuff was milled, those pushrods may not transfer over. I would double check everything with a pushrod length checking tool to be safe.

 

Yea I agree with 2000GTP, the pushrod size will need to be checked. But as far as the lifters and rockers I would think they'd be fine.

 

the deck on the block is the same and hasnt been changed. The heads have been milled probably like 1-2cc (more like a surface cleaning for the heads) They are 54cc heads, which our stock heads are like 56cc right? would that make much of a difference for the pushrods?
