I'm an auto but I'm a 93 without the electric tranny.

Will the car drive ok?

I have a 240 speedo. No governor right?

 

You'll be OK. The TCC lockup will be a little off, but other than that and piling up miles quicker, it will be fine.

 

well, it will think it is going faster then it is. if you disconect the speedo your toqure converter will not lock up due to no input from the vss. It will work i just wouldnt do it for long, those km add up faster then miles

 

I have the speedo disconnected. I have a non-electronic tranny in my '94.... Works just fine. I disconnected the tranny because the governor kicked in at what the speedo interpreted as 240-255 mph or whatever so I just unplugged it. It only bothered me when I was racing anyway.

 

All you have to do is change the gears in the tail housing. Did you change gears?

 

Whoa..the TCC? How bad? Ive had 3:42s in for over a year now with a small stall (thank god) and its till programmed for 3:23s. Would that have any effect on launches or anything?? I didn't even think about any of that being affected.
