Just wondering if there is any benefit to running LS1 GTO injectors over stock injectors on a cam only LT1 with a racetronix kit that includes a walbro 255? I would obviously have to have the computer tuned for them, but again, would it help out my setup at all?

 

You would have to meet their fuel pressure needs, as I don't believe they are rated at the same pressure as an LT1.

 

LS1's run a good bit higher fuel pressure. And for the money, your better off getting Delphi's or SVO's if you can find em cheap enough.

they are 25$, so I figure I cant pass that up. For that much, I should just get them right?

How do I turn up the fuel pressure? Through tuning or somewhere on the pump?

 

04 LS1 GTO injectors are rated 28.8 lb/hr @ 58psi. (LS1 F/P) They become 25.2 lb/hr @ 43.5 psi. (LT1 F/P). The stock injectors in your 97 LT1 are rated 24.9 lb/hr @ 43.5 psi. You are really not gaining anything as far as size is concerned swapping them. All upping the fuel pressure does is change the injector rating for that higher pressure. You would gain the same thing upping the fuel pressure with your stock injectors and you would need to change the IFR constant in the PCM.
