Will a Gen I block work with lt1

Will a gen I 4 bolt block work with LT1 heads, Opti Waterpump ETC. My buddy has a couple not in use and said i could have one for my camaro if they could be swapped.

No totally different , only some of the internal parts are the same . The motor will fit but will not work with the stock electronics .

Check advanced tech, someone was looking into converting a 400 sbc to lt1 injection, It would take a lot of work though.

The water jacket in the block and heads (reverse coolant flow) including the water pump is the major difference.

More trouble then it is worth, just find an LT1 block if possible.
