stage I port and polish heads
cc306 cam

pullies
3.73 gears

Ummm, i'd be worried if I had ported heads and a CC306 cam and only put down 315 rwhp.

My thoughts exactly. Where did you get the mail order tune from?

Either something is not right with the car or your tune is WAY off. If that is the case you should see a good gain from a dyno tune. Good luck.

Yes something is wrong. On a STOCK tune, Hooker LT, cut out, CC306 cam STOCK heads through a M6 and 12 BOLT I put down 353 RWHP and 342 RWT. Might want to try different rocker arms and/or a stock tune

Re: Will dyno tuning give me more power?

One of the Impala guys just posted numbers for his junkyard motor with this cam and ported heads today http://impalassforum.com/noncgi/ulti...757;p=1#000003 he had 369/398 didn't say it was a dyno tune either. I asked wether it was a dyno tune and which heads were ported since his sig and post contradict eachother so by the time you look it may be answered.

I got the tune from pcm for less. I thought the same when I saw the dyno results. I car runs great I just don't see what the problem could be. I have stock rocker arms. Who tuned your pcm?

Stock rocker arms will be costing you some hp, but not too much. Do you have any flow numbers from your heads? Is your intake ported? Your car should be putting down 375-400rwhp. I would dyno tune it.

Thats Ryan Ahart, or AHARTZ28 here I was at that dyno too. He tunes everyones car around here, so yes, its a dyno tune. Thats one badass SS too. He tuned an LT1 with home ported heads and the 306 cam saturday at that dyno, and got 396RWHP out of it. Hopefully I'll have mine ready for him to tune in a couple months with the same setup

Holy Crap dude! That's the kinda numbers i was looking for. I'm in Arlington between Dallas and Fort Worth. Where in San Antonio can I find this guy? Looks like mail order tunes aren't that accurate after all. I just need to schedule a dyno tune soon.

If you changed "1" thing after you gave PCMForless the spect't as to what you are running, then it will be off.Ask Bryan to do it again for you,or find out what may be wrong with your engine, valve adj, vacuum leak, ect.

Re: Will dyno tuning give me more power?

Now my application is much milder but it also threw a couple of oddball items at Bryan and still when I dynoed it the AFR was dead on, the dyno operator was very interested in who did my mailorder tune and was more than a bit suprized at the accuracy.

Re: Will dyno tuning give me more power?

My application is mild but a bit of an odd combo, when I dynoed it the AFR was dead on and the operator impressed and interested in who did the work since it was just mailorder. BH knows his stuff.
