Will a 1997 lt1 long block work in a 95 z28?

I just found a 97 long block for sale that i want to use to replace my locked up engine in my 1995 camaro 6 speed. I know that the 97 was obdII and my car is obdI but couldnt i still use the longblock if i keep my intake and exhaust manifolds? What else would i need to do to get this to work if it can. Thanks alot guys i need to go pick this up tommorow!

Yes it'll work, only thing needs chenging is the knock sensor on the passenger side of the block. Don't wory about connecting the sensor in the timing cover.
