Will 15x12 wheels fit a 4th gen?

Will 15x12 wheels with a 6.5" backspace fit on a 4th gen? What size slicks could I run with these, doing nothing major to the car, im willing to flare the fenders, cut them, cut/pound the wheelwells etc, nothing too much more though

Would narrowing the new rear end help any in fitting these? What would that do to my street (salad shooters) wheels?

those will work good if you don't have quarter panels

15 inch rims will work on a 93-97 4th gen, but not on the 98-02 4th gens. Just get a set of 15x8's and run a 26x10.50 slick.

Yeah, you can narrow the rearend, but you're pretty much going to have to backhalf the car and get a different suspension setup.

15x8? no, at least 10" for me

so these will not work at all? They will stick out 2 more inches than a 15x10 with 6.5 BS right?

i dont think a 15x10'' rim is necessary. just run the 26x10.50'' slick on the 8'' rim and you should be fine

What do you need such a wide rim for?

I believe you will have a very tuff time fitting that under the car.
I run a 15x10 Weld XP but it has 5.5 inch BS and they stick out a little.

I think someone told me that their 15x10 with 6.5 BS places the tire about 1" inside the fender.

revtime,
do you have a pic of your rear wheels on the car? I think the 12" will stick out 1 inch more than yours. Looks I don't care about since they'll be a track only item, I just dont want the car to come down and cut the tire, but the rear shouldnt be bouncing around alot will it? mainly the front?

I have an Eibach drag launch kit in my car and the car does not squat very much.
I don,t have any problems with the fender hitting the tire.

Dont look too bad! YOu dont happen to have a shot from straight behind do you?

A couple air bags would probably solve the tire problem ya think?

I don,t have one from straight behind hosted right now.
I have an air bag in the right rear in that photo but I think it only has 5 lbs in it.

If you look straight down over the rear fender the tire sticks out a little less than an inch.
Thats a 15x10 with 275 50 15 Nitto DRs

Do you think you can get a straight on pic uploaded or email me one?

so a 6.5 on a 15x10 will be tucked under 1 inch but a 5.5 will stick out 1 inch? hmmmm

Not exactly tucked under.
It will be flush.
I will see what I can do, I have to search my pics and see what I can come up with.

I run 11" wide wheels (with 315/35-17 Hoosiers) all the way around. An 11" will fit in the rear and not stick out. I use a 50mm offset and a 1/4" spacer. They couldn't fit more perfect.
