Ok, I was wrestling with a hard start problem a few weeks ago. Replaced my torn intake elbow with the 1le (way louder). Starts right up now.
Normally, starts, revs up to 1200rpm immediately and smooths right back out to idle.
Now, starts, revs up to 1200rpm and chokes for a second (like it's gonna die) and then, smooths right back out to normal.
Did some searching, can't find anything.
Any suggestions?

Did it run long with the torn elbow? May have ingested some dirt that's mixed with gum on the idle air valve.

 

Yeah, it took me a while to figure out it was torn on the underside.
The valve, huh?
