Hey guys, i was driving my car yesterday beating on it a little bit, then i got onto the main drag doing about 45mph. I get this random noise, kinda sounds like your throwing a empty pop can out the window, i dont have a posi, i have a power trax locker, real decent.. Anyway, it only happens when im coming to a stop, and it happend once, while i was cruising at 45. Any ideas?? Mods are in sig. I do have a header leak on my drivers side, w/ copper gaskets. Could it be the copper gaskets rattling a little bit? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

could be your brake pads shifting in the caliper a little, wont hurt anything if thats it. i think they make a glue for it or somthing, mine used to do that but it went away when i changed the pads

 

Really, the same noise, Ive never heard this before. ting ting, its kinda loud, and embarrassing. Ill check the calipers, otherwise im changing them damn copper gaskets for the felpro 1406's today.

 

Brakes are fine, does it when i rev it up sometimes. It seems to make that noise more when im coming to a stop, ive looked for wrenches, or other tools in my engine bay? Could it be my copper header gaskets? They do leak.

Yeah, would it be backpressure related, since it is happening when you are decellerating?

 

It happens every so often when im excellerating as well. Im clueless, i will be re-doing the header gaskets today. I will double up the felpros, see if this helps, like i said, its random ting ting. Any other suggestions??

I dont think I would double up the gaskets(never heard of that before..??)..just do the gasket change and make sure ALL the header bolts are tight..see if it helps..and make sure after a couple hundred miles to recheck the header bolts..
