ok, im getting a wierd noise coming from my left front tire area, from under the car.... its like a sputtering/rattling but only occurs when the car is first started in park, as soon as i put it into reverse with foot still on break pedal it goes away, also it seems to be getting louder..

 

TTT... plz ne1 could this have had any impact on losing control and me spinning out (i just totalled the car)

 

If something broke or fell off the car, I would say yes.
It is best when having problems like this to get the car up in air and find out what is going on.
Lots of people let things like this go until it is too late.
Sorry about the car but in the future do not just assume that the weird noise coming from the front end (or anywhere) is just a small problem and ignore it.
