wierd driveshaft question

well, when i first got the car i took it out on the highway and had the 80+ mph vibration problems....amongst other problems. I don't get out on the highway very often...but i did today. The vibration is GONE!! I can't beleive it. what could have happened??? I took it all the way up too 100mph and it was smooth as butter. The only thing I can think of is about a month ago i miss shifted and ended up in a lower gear instead of a higher geat...could that have knocked the DS back into allignment???

Peace! -mj

Different tires? Wheel balance? Missing wheel weights and/or something stuck in the wheeels (mud/ice)? There are lots of things that can cause high speed vibration, it's very easy to assume it's the driveshaft.

You aren't going to "knock the driveshaft into alignment" though
