wierd clicking sound comming from engine

Im having a wierd sound comming from the engine. It does not happen at idle only when i give it throttle. It seems to be louder when the engine is cold. My car is a 94 Z28 with just over 30k orig miles. My trans is auto if that makes a diff. Thanks

Exhaust leak? Stuck lifter? Can you listen to it under the hood while you give it a little throttle and pin it down?

idk i havent looked that deep into it. I talked to my father who owns a shop back home and he said its probably knock. So we get into a talk about that and he asked me what type of fuel im using. 87 octaine. I dropped down to regular a month ago because of the gas prices. Didnt think much of a deal of it but he explained all this technical stuff. So im going to wait til i get low on fuel and put 93 back in and see how she acts. Will keep the thread updated when i do that.

okay so i put 93 in her today and it still clicked i popped the hood as suggested, and pulled on the throttle cable. The sound came from the drivers side of the engine. So im guessing stuck lifter aswel. Im going to have my father in law listen to it and if he agrees we will fix it. Thanks
