Why does my clutch not grab when the car is dead cold???

It's not that it doesn't grab, I have to slip it majorly to get the car moving. It's weird, I will pull out of my garage and put it in first and try to go and when I start to bring the clutch out, it wants to just stall the car. I have no idea why and I know it was not always like that. The clutch seems to be fine except for some chatter because the pressure plate was not resurfaced with the flywheel and new disc but what would cause that problem? This clutch didn't do this when I put it and it didn't do it for the longest time after it was in.

Once the car is warm after stopping and starting 4 or 5 times it is back to normal and the clutch works fine again. Again, I'm just assuming it's the clutch, but I doubt it is anything else. The car has brand new plugs, brand new opti... only thing mechanically wrong with the car is the damn exhaust leak that I have been trying to get rid of for so long. The car didn't have this problem even when the exhaust leak first came into play, that's what leads me to think clutch. Any suggestions???

Is your fluid low? That would cause it not to work at first and maybe after the car warms up it would allow the fluid to expand a little.

It may not be a clutch issue... it might be a low power under load when cold issue? You say it stalls easy... that doesn't seem like a clutch problem?

I was going to move it to the Drivetrain forum but will leave it here for a little while to see what some others think. Good luck!

Hmm so what would cause a low power under load when cold condition? I need to start looking into stuff.

And my fluid is fine, redline synthetic w gm additive. No leaks.
