why does my car mph crappy
as some of you know its
cc306 1.6rr spin it to 6500
fuddle 3200(4l60-e) and 3.73 in a 10 bolt...
car weighs 3200 with me in it
my best motor time
1.66
7.71@87.5
12.19@109.9
last night with a 100 shot in the 1/8 mile it went
1.57
7.24@95
by what im thinking in the 1/8 mile on motor it should be about 12.05@113-114
and in the 1/8 it should be about 90 on motor and 97 or so on juice...
what do yall think is it off by that much...it is a mail order tune total timing is at 36, do yall think its the tune? or converter too loose? any reccomendations

Re: why does my car mph crappy
In my very limited opinion regarding converters that would be my guess... A friend of mine w/ a hotcam/bolt-ons in a full weight Z28 was in the low 1.6's and in the 12.4 range @ 108. Do you go to Redline or Ennis or both?
And yeah.. I'd say it'd be a good idea to put that car on the dyno w/ a tuner who knows what they're doing to see what's going on. I would guess w/ the right converter, tune and at that raceweight you should be well into the 11's on motor.

redline was my 1/8 times and ennis was my 1/4
theres not really any dyno tuners around here for obd1....otherwise i would...
ive spent alot on mail order tunes to get my high stall problem fixed...it sux...i dont think the converter is the problem i think the tune sux up top on my car...idk why though

autos just trap less. u are pushing 110 N/A. if it was a 6-spd car, that owuld be more like 113.
in the qtr on that N20 pass u trap wouldve been @ 118, which again sounds normal.
ur times look normal, IMO.

I'm no expert, but it does seem like the top end falls off a bit...Been surfing around over on LS1tech and the consensus is that the Fuddles are "hit or miss" and some have reported problems with lock up, efficiency, durability, loss of top end, etc...3200lbs is relatively light, too...You really should dyno tune the car or at least run a wide band on the street and see whats going on up top...
