Whos got true duals

I got true duals on my turbo kit. The main problem I notice is the poping through the exhaust on a decel. This only happens with vacuum under 20" This could be on a shift or down shifting, anything under 20" to say the least.
This is very annoying, and im looking for a solution. The exhaust is pretty short and mostly streight through. It has a dynomax streight through muffler on each side. Both pipes end under the passanger side seat. I have read that true duals need a x pipe or balance tube in order to elimiate this "poping"

Thoughts on this?

I have a true dual setup with an x- pipe. I think it helps flow wise to have more of a straight shot out the back rather than on one side, could be part of your problem. Alot of turbo cars backfire though and I am no turbo expert so I couldnt tell you if that is part of it.

if thats really how much hp your making, I dont think you can correct that problem. Because of the turbo, and the hp, the car will always do that on deceleration. Only thing you can do is add a muffler, and it will not fix the issue it will only make it quieter.

Mine does it, but its not a real loud poping noise though. You can try adding an aditional bullet muffler though.

What size mufflers are they? Sounds like your runing bullets.

Yes they are bullet mufflers. I dont think it matters if Im making max 1200hp or max 500hp. When im driving the car normal it only takes x amount of power to pull the car. Horse power is not a concern here; however, it might be the streight through system and there is nothing I can do.

More thoughts?

the reason why I said the hp matters is because generally more hp generally = more air coming in and out of the motor. So when you decelerating, depending on the gear down shift, the transmission will generally let the engine break too. Which rapidly makes the rpms come down. So all that exhaust is just pooring out, at an ordinary rate. So there is some kind of back pressure result, that causes the popping.

Generally changing the size of the pipes will increase or decrease the back pressure in the exhaust. Here is a pic of my mufflers. Tell me if these are the same ones? Or if you are runing a different type of dynomax muffler.
