looked into the accel unit? it's cheap and reliable. according to the post recently it's pretty beefy. nice bearings and baseplate is thick.

I don't think the prices on their site are what Dal sells them for. Call each guy and ask the price. (...and post back here so you can tell everyone else )

Re: Who's Cheaper? Dal or Cromer for Opti's?

I just got one from Jason for $235. Last time I checked Dal was slightly higher.

Call and check though.

Jason just happened to be the first I called, so ever since he has got my business.

If you want to replace it while you have the opti off, then yes.

I would assume yours is the vented variety. The original poster has a 1994 that is not. They are higher priced.

Re: Who's Cheaper? Dal or Cromer for Opti's?

Well I called Jason Early this morning and was on hold for like 10mins for Parts Dept so i just hung up cause i had to get to class and called Dal. I bought my last opti off Dal and i just ordered the other today off him..

Dals UNVENTED Opti was $304.75 + whatever shipping is...
So im not sure what Jason's UNVENTED Opti Price is..

on a 142K LT1 should i replace the timing chain aswell..on ur site shoebox i saw they had it listed for $24.xx
am i turning this into a bigger project than what it should be??

Re: Who's Cheaper? Dal or Cromer for Opti's?

It would be a good idea to change the timing set at 142k, IMO. There will be more work involved to remove the timing cover. Might as well change all the seals in the cover, too. ...and then if you rip the pan gasket...
