whole list of problems

finally got the swap done and the engine runnin....
95lt1, runnin le3 heads, and le2 cam, 58mm TB, 42lbs inj, stock bottom, madz28 tune.

1. got the motor runnin, but wont idle right. hooked up a scanner and the rpms jump up and down from 500 -1100... itll run like this for a while and then finally cut off.... are the injectors too big for this setup??? also got a DTC 33 map sensor or circuit too high... not sure about that one though... spark is also at like 28 degrees , IAC stays around 100? dont know how to read the scanner but those are some of the numbers

2. the rpms are wrong accordin to the guage... i have a 98z28 cluster... ill setthe throttle to an exact rpm ex. 1000 rpm and take off the needle and put it on a 1000rpms... the tach will read a 1000rpms everytime the scanner does but no other rpm is correct accordin to the guage ex. scanner 1500, guage 2300???

3. fuel guage reads full always.... i put the 95 sending unit in too...

thanks

Re: whole list of problems

Does the car run right now? You said it shut off but I wanna know if it will start again. Double check the connection of the TPS. Can you get a data log of the car while it is flutuating rpm?

Re: whole list of problems

Did you have the fuel pressure right? If the idle is going up and down your timing will be all over the place. Your fuel guage has no connection.42's require a tune.

Re: whole list of problems

I would think that 30 pounders would be more than sufficient for where you're at. 42 lb injectors are in the forced induction territory.

Double check for vacuum leaks. Might also want to clean your MAF.

Re: whole list of problems

You should get on the LT1_edit mailing list and ask around there.
