Who is still running the $149 Opti from Ebay

For those of you who bought - I know there have been failures. Who is still successfully running this "Delco" Opti?

Let's hear you.

I am. And once again they shipped me a new one (over night) when "I thought" mine went out. It turned out to be the opti harness. That's just my experience with them. I feel bad for all the ones who's dealing have not turned out as well as mine did.

On a side note, I drive my car VERY little except to race so I don't have a lot of miles on mine.

I just bought and received one from Allignition off ebay. I know there was another thread on this about whether it was actually an ACDelco unit and from what everyone had posted, it sounded as if it were....but the one I received is nothing like the ACDelco unit I bought from Sal a few months back..appearance wise.
The back aluminum side have a "mesh" print cast into the aluminum in one spot, the front is black where the Delco was that yellowish color gel stuff...and the wiring harness plug/center plastic section is black where the Delco was white.
My digital camera is broke or I'd post up a pic.

It was packed quite nicely in preformed styro...
I'm sure it works ok, just bought it so I'd have another spare on the shelf after I take it apart and glue the rotor screw down....

That was the same as mine - as were most if not all of the others. Some had failures, some questioned whether it was Delco (most likely no). There are a precious few (me included) who are still running OK.

This is good to know after i bought one off ebay from allignition last weekend. I need to keep up on the boards more often. I guess the old saying "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" holds some value here.

thepartsladi for the win. I got an oil change worth of driving on mine and its still runign strong. The driving varries but I would think if it was going to crap out due to defects it would have done so already. So i am pleased.

Unhappy

My cousin bought the All Ignition $149 Opti back in July of this year, and he's just now having high RPM problems with it after about 900-1000 miles and two(2) months of driving. (He gets an engine miss above about 5000-5500 RPM with a Code 16 (Low Resolution Pulse) SES light being set).

Before he started experiencing his problems......I bought one and have had it on my car for two(2) weeks now with about 150-200 miles on it with NO problems.......................yet.

I guess live and learn...I had followed the previous thread up to about the end of the 2nd page....as luck would have it, it was just after that that everyone started posting problems with it...and of course I didn't go back and read the entire thing before buying... But I'll still try it when the time comes on my truck since its very easy to get to and work on.
