i may have a supercharger before i go to the track on may 31, which supercharger is the best for h.p., makes the most sound, and how much would it costs? please give me some suggestions..

 

The top two by a mile are Procharger and Vortech. The Paxton and Powerdyne are junk. Procharger comes with an air to air intercooler and goes for around $3200 while the Vortech doesn't come with any intercooler and starts around $3000 for an S trim.

 

You can get the vortech with an aftercooler isnt it basically the same maybe even better

 

You would of had at least 10 replies if you posted in the forced induction section... I say vortech... I chose it because it gets fresh engine oil while most ati's are self contained. The ati kits are all intercooled but I figured I would add a nicer intercooler when I move up to a useable amount of boost... at 6 psi an intercooler would be more of a hinerance than a help. Also, I don't know about ati's policies but Vortech has good customer service, good warranty, and good upgradability. Also, the V-1 Vortech is the loudest blower available for our cars (which is what I have). Peolpe say my car sounds like an airplane. Also, the vortech has very good build quality.

Some will say ATI, some will say Vortech, its all about what you are looking for. Personally I think you would enjoy the vortech more.

 

Vortechs are great but I say by far ATI procharger. they have a longert warrenty than anyother supercharger. Its the only centrifugal supercharger to put a car below 7s. You can use more boost with them and still retain warrenty.
