Ehh, GM, possibly MSD.

The aftermarket ones havent been out long enough to really see how well they hold up compared to the GM ones.

But, they are adjustable, the timing on them, on the MSD, which is kinda a neat feature.

Seems like everyone is jumping onto the accels and having good luck. They are by far the cheapest as well. 200 shipped from jc whitney. My buddy ordered one so Ill update you in couples weeks how its working.

Re: who makes the best opti for the money?

I'd have to say the Accel. It's $200. Then probably GM's stock unit. My stock opti lasted over 100,000 miles.

I cant really say the MSD is the best for the money, because it's more than twice as expensive as the competition. It has nice features, but is more of a premium, top of the line opti than a bang for the buck unit.

I'm returning my MSD cause my car runs like crap with it. I'm going to try the Accell. The GM ones around here are $600, they believe they are gold, sorry I don't. I'm probably gonna get an LS1 car after this thing gets running again. Been down since May fighting this stupid issue. I'm ready to explode.

I'd like to get a $200 opti for my '94. JCwhitney does not show nothing on there web site but regular small block style dist. for my '94, obviously wrong. I just ordered an Accell opti from the local parts store and it's $299.95.

You can get a GM opt for less than half of that $600 from the right sources.

I thought the Dynaspark was sold to another company and is currently not available. Let me know if I am wrong.

Yes, Dynotech http://www.dynotech-eng.com/news.htm sold it to Dynaspark http://www.dynaspark.net/ . Dynaspark sell them and it's very availible along with the gen 3 though it does not reflect the gen 3 as being availible but it is.

I thought I had read several months ago that the design was sold. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Re: who makes the best opti for the money?

Ive got one off of my 94 with 20k original summer/inside stored miles on it for sale cheap. It works perfectly. I just had to use a obd2 style because i went to a double roller timing chain and the 94 timing cover wont work with it or the 94 opti. but yeah, if anyone needs one, hit me up. Its just taking up room on top of my monitor

My Dynaspark was stolen. If you had a 95+ style I would buy it Post it for sell in the corvette forums and it will sell in a hour tops.
