i just went up and got some honda fluid for the M6. however, they told me that honda has new fluid (i think it is called atf X1). this came out about a year ago. the only thing is, it does not say that it is dexron compatable. they weren't sure at the dealership either. also, they said honda doesn't make synthetic tranny fluid. however, they might have some synthetic additives in it. this is what they were telling me anyways. is this stuff ok to use in the m6? i know people run honda in their m6's, but i hear they buy synthetic. they are telling me they don't make synthetic.

 

If it's Honda ATF-Z1 that's the right stuff.

 

yes, sorry that i put X1. that was a typo. i meant Z1. i was just making sure that this stuff will work since it says nothing about dexron III on the bottle. they actually told me that now the new cars use dexron IV.
