Who has passed emissions without cats?

I hear so much talk about it, but am wondering how many people have passed withought cats in (codes cleared of course). Thanks!

EDIT: If you failed, if possible specify how you failed...or what gave away that you had no cats. Thanks!

Re: Who has passed emissions without cats?

When I first got my car, it had a gutted cat and I didnt know. I passed emmissions just fine. I didnt find out the cat was gutted until I did my headers.

Nice - and you had to battle the sniffer

EDIT: I'm noticing the majority so far would not try to pass without cats. The poll says, OBDII, codes cleared -- what are reasons that you might not try to pass w/o cats?

all emmisions really checks when they hook up a OBII car is for codes, do if you have a O2 sim and there are no codes you should pass. But if you just reset the ECU before you go in to "clear" the codes, they will realize that the ECU has just been reset because it goes into a different mode.. Only thing you would really have to worry about is if they take a look under the car to see if the cat is there, which places out here (suburbs) ussually dont..

Yea - I had my codes programmed out -- I was just curious who has had their cars visually inspected for some reason, or some freak occurance. I'm really not too worried about it, just wanted to see what kind of luck others have had. Thanks for your input.
