Yeah, but, figured I'd let the guys show off their engine compartments here for a change. Several guys here don't read the Appearance Forum which is evident by some not knowing about the Casanova's car.

Plus, you never know, somebody might get a good performance mod idea by viewing some of these engine compartments

Now that you mention it, I probably should have brought the topic up in another forum.

I'm just curious what others have done with there engine bay...

So, basically, what some of you are saying, is that you cannot appreciate such old HOT RODDING tricks such as suicide doors, shaving, and flames, these are apparently ricey?? Fascinating.
I guess building a SHOW car is apparently rice as well. Hrmph....Call it what you like but I bet you will not find one any cleaner anywhere. At least appreciate all of the hard work and money I have put into this car, not to mention doing most of the work MYSELF except for the paint and doors.

I have yet to see a ricer that roars and can run 12's without being gutted out and not driveable.

OH YEAH

It is driveable....Going under its own power to super chevy in Vegas in 3 weeks.

I have to agree with you on this one.....I think the word "Rice" or "Ricey" has taken on a new definition. Seems everyone is now using these terms to describe anything that they do not care for. Any true "CAR BUFF" could appreciate the time and effort you have put into your car. For example, I do not really like your car as a whole, but I think there are some really cool aspects of it, and I think you have done everything very "TOP NOTCH". In my opinion if you get about about a 50/50 split between people that like it and don't like it, you have been successful in creating something unique and different, which can be the difference between a mediocre show car and a fabulous show car (i.e. yours).

Not Rice!

Casa, I'm with you on this one. It isn't my kind of style but I can appreciate all the time, work and money! It doesn't look "rice" at all. I mean were not talking about wings and decals here guys. Look at that thing, custom bodywork, interior and horsepower to back it up.

It's not rice but that car is definetely not "clean". Its a cluttered mess which I guess is not my style. I'd rather see a plain color or very subtle flames etc... Definetely put a lot of time into it and cant take that away from you. Nice work on something different.

Angry

I am sorry to drudge up an old topic, but I was doing a search for camarocasanova's car to show a friend and low and behold I find all these posts with nothing but $hit talking and classifying his car as "RICE. I must say that I have shown my car next to his on the Superchevyshowcene for many years and to classify his car as "RICE" is absolutley asinine. Now granted it's no John Deere like some of you hillbilly's are used to driving, but granted it's a respectable american Hot Rod and deserves some appreciation.

If you want to classify somthing as "RICE" come out here to the west coast where the car scene is larger than life and the nations trends are set, and go to some All Import or Hot Importnights car show, then you'll see a whole lotta rice. I think the word "RICE" is really watered down and used very loosely. So for GOD sake don't kick a man in the stones and call his Blood,Swet & Tears "RICE".

I wouldn't worry too much about people calling your car rice around here. Anything they don't like, agree with or is a little different is "rice". Besides your car is faster than most cars on this site.

BTW, nice car. I'd take it.
