Question Who has the Hypertech Power Programer?

I am new on this programer thing. I have a 95Z stock gears wich if I am right they are 3.23. Auto trany. I do have the 160' stat.

What is the best program setup you have so I could have an idea on what to do. Especialy when it comes down to the shift points.
And what is your best gain you had so far?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Who has the Hypertech Power Programer?

do a search for more info. I have a hypertech, I don't use it(except as a scanner). It's really for adjusting the fan temps, gear ratios, and such. As far as their "power" program I as well as others haven't gained squat. It seems the programmer makes power on the ls1's more often then our lt1's.

That being said, for the $300 cost of a hypertech, I would DEFINATELY have someone like Ion at madz28.com do your PCM with whatever you want for alot less. Check out madz28.com, he is a supporting advertiser here. He did my PCM it turned out great.

If you want to do PCM programming YOURSELF, check into lt1edit. This is software for your laptop that you can program your PCM with. THis is the same software that Ion uses, you just have to learn all the parameters.

www.madz28.com can hook you up with an awsome tune for less than lt1 edit or an hpp3. By the way i used to have an hpp3 and it sucked big time.

Tunercat is another alternative (less costly as well).

So your telling me that this was not worth it? Any one els who has this programer?
How about the rpms and shift points? Should I go high or low. If you go high it should give something right? That high and low gets to me, I cant figure were to get a gain and if there is on the rpms and shifting.
