white smoke, maybe coolnat maybe not?

hey guys,

just started my fresh 383 with ported heads and all that jazz, i had a falty elec. wp and the car over heated to 235' before i caught it... that was the first drive outside in 30' weather, now i have 40 miles on the car and i see white smoke out the exhaust... i'm super rich and i donno what it is...

i have bars leak in the car already, i'm gonna try 1 more time with that and if this doesnt go away... i'm gonna pull the heads.... any ideas?

The only other thing I've seen burn white is transmission fluid, but don't ask how the hell that got in your combustion chamber. (I had a problem like that with an 82 Malibu, and it bellowed out white smoke. Never had a coolant problem, but I had to replace at least 1 qt of tranny fluid EVERYDAY.

You could pressure test the radiator.

me and another guy both had white smoke after head/cam install, and for us it was dirty injectors - they were not brand new, and had been sitting on the shelf for too long.

Re: white smoke, maybe coolnat maybe not?

i just pulled 3 random plugs,

#1,3 were okay with a lil black and white..but #2 was clean... like it was pressure washed..

i did CR test on #2 and i got 175 and then i did it again and got 120 ..... didnt even bother with the rest... i know what this means..

i'm gonna drop the car off at APE when i get back form spring break next week, head gaskets and dyno tunes for me
