White smoke
White smoke
As soon as my car starts giving it starts after a few good rotations sometimes it will blow out a good bit of white smoke. Does anyone have any Idea what this cood be. Any info would be good info thanks
does this happen after the car has sat overnight or for a long period of time or does it do it everytime? if it does it after it has sat for a while, then its probably just carbon build up that is blowing out after the exhaust warms up...but if it does it everytime you start the car then it could possibly be a blown head gasket. Lets hope not! I hate the thought of a Blown Head Gasket. Good Luck!
Now exiamine the smoke, does it have a bluish tint to it? if so it is oil. and it probably means the valve guides are letting some oil in, nothing to be concerned with until you can get the time to change the guide seals. If its pure white then it may be steam from the cat (goes away when warm) or it could be steam from coolant meaning a possible blown head gasket. If your water is staying up fine in the radiator then I doubt its a gasket.
