wheres my 1/4 and MPH?

Went out to the track today, and netted the best as follows. Mods in Sig.

Temp F. 57
Humidity 87
Absolute Barometer 29.52

RT .199
60 1.78
330' 5.157
660' 7.968
MPH 87.18
1000' 10.39
1/4 12.42
MPH 111.18

Best MPH that night was 111.58. This was on Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials @14psi. The track conditions were not the greatest, and I am still working out some tuning issues, but I still think times should of been a lot better. I was launching at about 3-3.5k because any higher, It would just break the tires loose. Any opinions, suggestions? BTW, I just dynoed 390rwhp, with some tuning, but since then, have deleted the o2's and have not went up for tuning again..

What elevation are you running at?

Can you log your runs?

Have you monitored your fuel psi under a load?

As for weather...It is your Baro psi that really kills performance, not humidity for the most part.

Those are some decenttimes for the conditions. You should be dipping into the 11's after a goodtune...so on that note, get that thing tuned man!!! if you are going to tune it how are going about it? hypertech programmer? Dyno tune?? My LT1 swap for my third gen is in the works and just studying some options on how to go about tuning this thing...

Re: wheres my 1/4 and MPH?

It really depends on the elevation...

0' elevation would be 507' DA which corrects to 12.36@111.76

500' elevation would be 1127' DA which corrects to 12.27@111.52

1000' elevation would be 1747' DA which corrects to 12.18@113.33

2000' elevation would be 2984' DA which corrects to 11.98@115.09

3000' elevation would be 4220' DA which corrects to 11.76@117.06

5000' elevation would be 6687' DA which corrects to 11.26@121.60

Big differences there.

formally called Sears Point RaceWay, now its called Infineon Raceway. How can I monitor fuel pressure while driving? Is the only way on the dyno?

Re: wheres my 1/4 and MPH?

Searching around I find 15'...I have book at home with every track and specs...see what I can dig up.

That being said...I am going to say looking at your times, your down an easy 75 rwhp...easy.

I have a fuel guage that I simply have running around the wipers that I can see when I jump on it. Fuel psi on the road under a load can be different than a dyno.

Re: wheres my 1/4 and MPH?

yea, the track was overall pretty poor that day. Cold, windy, no track prep. I still need to work out some tuning bugs, but I guess I was expecting a lot more out of the car. I was hoping the car would run some high 11's, but I guess I need to go to the track on a better day.

umm other cars were ok, nothing impressive. All mostly mid to high 13's. Umm..yea it feels the same, except we deleted the o2's and need to confirm if the tune is still the same. I think its running a bit fat down low. I put a 58mm tb on it, and bumped the limiter up. I think it should be at about 410-420 to the wheels now. And about the seats, im cool if they arent together. Right on though..

Canton, are you saying that he's gonna record faster times if he's higher in elevation?

And I thought for a moment nobody would agree with me, humidity does kill mph.....Kills about 2 3mph or 4 depends how hot it is also...
