Wheres the cheapest place to get the LT4 Conversion Kit?

Summits price of the kit went up a hundred bucks and they're out of the kit too, its on backorder for about 3 weeks. Anyone know the cheapest place to get it, without having to worry about who I'm trusting my money with....Thanks

You should be able to get it from Jason for a good price. And you can trust him or at least I do b/c I've dealed with him on several occasions.

Why do you want the LT4 top end rather then something done by advanced induction or somebody else? It would be cheaper and have a lot more power. For the money I have seen the kit go for I would be able to do heads/cam/intake/12 bolt. No no j/k but I would be able to get a set of headers.

LT4 conversion kit is a waste of money..

Only thing in that whole kit u should get is LT4 heads and thats only if u plan on having a professional port and polish them.

They never seem to run right. Seen 1 kit put down 300rwhp and the other kit put down 260rwhp. The guys werent happy. This is after dyno tuning it.

I've been looking into all this head/cam stuff for months now. I want my car to be very fast, but still very streetable. I don't want a car that stalls sometimes at red lights or parkin lots etc....The LT4 conversion appeals to me because it is all GM parts and will provide good power without the car being "ridiculous".

I dont want to do any kind of forced induction or nitrous. I just want a streetable car that really screws. Being streetable is more important to me than running low 11's. Let me know what you guys think.

Plus, I dont just want to do a cam, i wanna do a full/head cam package.

Thanks

I am probably 1 of the most **** people when it comes to making the car fast yet streetable.
Heres a picture of what an 8 year old car looks like in the hands of an **** owner.

Streetable is a relative term... To me it means very little cam surge if any, not way to loud but fairly loud, full interior luxuries.

The largest cam i'd put in for a street car would be a xe230/236 112 lsa.
I wouldnt run bullet mufflers or some race muffler, or duals with bullet mufflers.

I'd still port out the heads and match a cam to it. Guys who can do that are Lloyd elliot, Phil at Advance induction, Combination motor sports.
There "stage 2" set ups will smoke an LT4 conversion car.

You'll need some Long tubes/ypipe and a good cat back to make full use of the set up. 52mm TB would help some but not as much as the exhaust mods.

I dont know what my car dynoed with Moderatly ported Elliot heads / bigger valves but it screamed with the XE230/236. No doubt it was over 112 cuz thats what one of my friends trapped in his LS1, and his ride is slower than mine.

Do it right, get a heads/cam package matched.. The stage 3 ones might not be streetable by your definition because i see the springs they use and that means they got some bigger cams in the set ups, dont know how big though.

he wasnt talking forced induction. pretty sure he was talking about afr heads. they cnc mill heads that put down sweet numbers. we are talking a lot of money though. 1800+ just for heads.

as for buying all that stuff including a 12 bolt for less than an lt4 conversion kit? youre crazy. i paid 2k for the kit and 2600 for the rear end. there is no way. maybe if you go ebay hunting for a used rear.....

anyways check out superchevyperformance.com

My vote = you can get the same or more product for the same or less money. Who cares if it's GM or not.

My original plan was to go with cmotorsports stage 2 head/cam kit, but I can't seem to find a price on it. Nowhere on their site does it give prices on that stuff. And like you said, I dont want cam surge or a car that stalls or anything like that. It has to be driveable on the highway, back roads, and main roads, etc....

Anyone have any information on cmotorsports stage 2 head/cam kits?? all info appreciated. Thanks.

If your looking for good streetable power talk to Lloyd Elliot. go with his LE1 Package...
like 1750 for heads, cam, and all the little stuff to make it work, just get it tuned and go have fun

I was joking about the 12 bolt thing. Guess you didn't read a little farther. But if you want to keep your car streetable just get a smaller cam. A custom grind would be the best if you want it designed around what your looking for, but you'll be able to find a off the shelf one that meets your needs.
