Where is TurboBob (LTCC Ignition)?
Where is TurboBob (LTCC Ignition)?
I've sent him an e-mail and a PM with no reply.... I know he has a history of great customer service... just wondering if anyone knows where he is?
Re: Where is TurboBob (LTCC Ignition)?
BTW... here is the e-mail I sent to him if anyone else may have any ideas about solving my problem.
Hi TurboBob,
I purchased and LTCC and intalled it yesterday.
It seems to run fine except for the 3Blink code I am getting. I searched on Camaroz28.com regarding this problem and have not been able to find out what the problem is. My green light also flickers a little at idle usually following the lopy Cam... but no flickering when reving the motor
Here is what I did when installing the system:
-Car: 1995 Camaro Z28 - Modified 383 Motor - Automatic - Naturally Aspirated... Nitrous will be installed this week. No electrical water pump, but I do have a underdrive pulley. No other ignition equipment or electrical changes (I do have an aftermarket stereo)
-LTCC Computer mounted near Relay/Fuse Box. It is installed with 2 sided tape... not bolted... but I did try grounding it with a wire with no change
- GM LS1 Coils all ground individually with 2 grounds going to each fuel rail bolt - I changed/moved grounds, no change
- Passenger side coils on Intake Manifold mount/ driver side mounted to valve cover
- I used Bosch Wires (regular resistance)
- I soldered all wires... 2 pink wires to the pink one coming from to the ignition coil and the white one going to the Coil Module .... Coil and Ign Module have been removed
- I ran the 2 pink wires and white wire together in wire cover from the LTCC to the connections... I tried moving them, splitting them, etc... no luck
- The Stock Opti pigtails were cleaned with electrical contact cleaner before connecting to system
- All coil wires are routed near firewall together with the Pictail Wires from the system
- Fuse changed to 25 amps (did not have a 20 handy)
- I had not opti issues before the install... no misses, no codes (stored or otherwise)
- computer is reading about 12.8-12.6 volts depending on load (AC, lights, etc)... I read this from my Scanmaster
I hope you have some idea of what is causing this 3 Blink Code. My car is pulling strong with no misses (I have gone through each wire several times to make sure connected correctly), and while I do have some idling issues while stopped in Drive (some inconsistant lope), the car runs very well.
I was also wondering if the car will loose any performance while the code comes up... as it seems to drive stronger now than with my stock ignition system.
