Complete Reconstruction help!!

Ok the story goes.........I have a 94 z28 A4, the bearings are gone in the motor, the transmission will not shift out of first gear, fuel pump is shot....ect.

Well I have been slowly aquiring parts to piece it back together and now it appears I may have compatibility issues

The motor is a 96 lt1 complete from intake the oil pan, the transmission is from a 95. I have been told that I can use the wiring harness/ecm on my 94 for the wiring and the flexplate from my 94 to make the tranny/motor mate up properly. I need to know of any complications that may arise from this.

I have been setting a ambitious goal of having it run by May....maybe June but the damn thing will run this summer. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Chris

Re: Complete Reconstruction help!!

your harness will work, if you add one wire to the wires to the trans (PCM connector D, pin 6, to pin U, trans connector[the 95 trans/PCM went to a PWM TCC setup]), and you need you PCM flashed with a 95 program(it's the same PCM, just different program)

everything else will be ok, if you don't have it with the motor, you need the vented opti wire harness, and the opti vacumn harness
