where to put an ignition box

Hey guys,

Just looking for ideas (and pics maybe) on where to put an ignition box (like msd digital 6 plus) into an lt1?

Under the hood, or inside? I want to be able to adj. the stupid dials on the digi 6 without too much trouble.

Thanks,

Igor.

My accel box is mount next to the air filter in the extra space there, of course I bought that system specifically because of the small box.

Thanks guys.

I have a predator hood with ram air box, so either side is 'free'. South of the fuse box sounds good, but what about if water gets on it?

Ignition manufacturers specifically state in their mounting instructions not to put it in the glove box. It needs to dissipate heat.

Cool Re: where to put an ignition box

Water WILL damage it. Moisture killed my first box. Msd was great though and sent me NEW one since it had not even been 90 days since purchase date. Oh, and put my box south of the fuse box. It does look good there too, but if you DD the car, it's best you don't put it there.

Heat is electronic's worst enemy. Keep it ventilated.
