Where to put cut out?

I want a cut out, but i dont know where to put it. Is it better before or after the cat. And is it too loud before the cat. I will most likely leave it open most of the time so it cant be too loud. Also, how do they sound? Deep and loud, or raspy.

You can do a search on this and see what others are doing.

You would want to put it after the cat right before the rear axle.

I had headers and my cats cut off and I hated my cutout. I sold it the other day.

I mounted mine in the exact spot shown in figure 4 from the link in the previous post. My exhaust is definitely louder, just ask my neighbors.
