Where to get a t-56?

Well my tranny is not going out or anything. It makes a lot of noises while the clutch is not in but i guess that is normal for these cars. But when it does go out, if it does i would like to know where is the best place to get one at. A stock replacement or a built one? Thanks.

www.fparts.us F Parts Salvage always has them,. But you live in Cali and PA is a long haul to ship that. I'm sure there is a closer yard to get one from a wrecked car, like billygrahms, i forget the sites adress.

Your gonna pay and arm and at least one leg for a new one. You could probably get a brand new one from GM for a serious wallet hit, or maybe from Borg Warner themself. thats why i suggested getting one that is from a wrecked car, sometimes with under 20,000 miles on it.
