Where to get Kooks LTs and options?

I can't seem to find but one place that has Kooks headers listed on their site, and that was Horsepower Engineering, and they want $919 for them.
What other places carry Kooks?

I'm probably going to remove the Air pumps and I won't need an EGR due to the cam overlap will make it redundant, so I'm guessing this would be the "Race" headers, or is there some other option which does not include the EGR or air tubes? I do need the O2s however.

(I have a similar cam, but smaller lift in my LT4 truck and it passes emissions without air pumps and EGR just fine)

I did find Speed Inc, but their website only has the part# for the LS1 cars.
These will be for the '95 TA not the truck, sorry to confuse you there. Yes, I looked the the Kooks website, I thought it was very lacking for info as well.

When I was looking about a month ago, Texas Speed & Performance had the best price on them in stock. Scoggin-Dickey was next closest.

Thanks, I guess I'll start calling around to these places. SD also only had the LS1 headers on their website.

Thumbs up Re: Where to get Kooks LTs and options?

I also got my LT1 Kooks (1 3/4" primarys w/ air & EGR) and off-road Y-Pipe from Scoggin Dickey (SD). Everything was in-stock and the price was the best I could find. They also ship quickly, so I recommend SD.

I got mine from scoggin dickey back in the spring and the headers were in the low 700's. 730ish. I ran true duals for a while and when I went back and bought the ypipe, it seemed like everyone had the same price on it more or less. Must not be much markup on the y, just the headers.

Why Kook's? Seriously...for most people, Jet Hot LT's is more than enough.

Re: Where to get Kooks LTs and options?

A header is a header if made properly and the tubes are the correct lengths, so I know the Kooks will provide no more notiable hp gain than any other header of the same size. Its all about quality and plug access, and the fact that Kooks are Stainless steel, no coating needed that going to discolor and have to be recoated with time....I have coated headers on my truck and they look like crap now...have stainless steel on the GN and they look fine after 13 years of use. I plan to keep the car a long time and don't want to have to redo anything so I'm going with the best $$ can buy IMO.

Re: Where to get Kooks LTs and options?

I am running Kook's for one reason only...port size vs exhaust flange size.

Hooker LT's are roughly 1.68" tall X 1.31" wide. This is fine for most guys.

Now what if your exhasut port is 1.70" tall X 1.63" wide?

Kook's are complete overkill in this regard and I forsee alot of guys have exhaust gasket issue with this.

As for plug access...a little better than my Hooker LT's...but #8 with my Kook's was retarded.
