where to get 4" rubber hose for homemade cai?

just like the question says...
home depot? lowes?
i would run out and find out for myself but unfortunately i don't have any of them that close to me

also, whoever does have it, where is it located at in the store?
sorry for the stupid question but, i didn't know my pvc piping couldn't work because of the lack of clearance

Home Depot in the plumbing section. There are nice 4" rubber fernco sewer pipe connectors. I just picked one up myself.

Fernco's are couplings... how far do you need to go and all that good stuff? You can purchase rubber fittings if you want then use 4" pvc to connect them. That would be easier to find then rubber hose, although I imagine a length of rubber hose would make things easier.

The plumbing supply store I work for doesn't sell 4" rubber hose, but we do sell rubber fittings, hence my answer.

yea, the 4" pvc won't work, it doesn't fit between this metal part and the radiator
also, i don't need the couplings
i already found those and i don't think i can connect them all to make my intake
any suggestions on where to get a 4" rubber hose/tube?

Dryer Vent Duct should work... though I don't think it disperses heat all to well? It works as an insulation... Plus, it'll shred to easy, and its made not to be man handled. I would see if you can fit fittings to where you need to go. Only difference between hose and fittings will be the fittings won't give. Fittings are pretty solid/sturdy. You can cut the pipe so that you won't even see it between the fittings, then just tighten the crap out of the joints for a nice tight seal.

Yes the pvc pipe will fit between the radiator and the abs unit. You need to heat the pvc pipe up with an electric stove burner and bend it to fit (be aware it will burn your fingers so use gloves) get it where you want and hold it till the plactic cools. You will prolly have to run in and out of the house till you get it just right. Also you need to lower the ABS unit as far as you can , take the mounting bracket off and buy a small angle iron piece. You can find them in any home improvment store. When I attempted to build mine I couldnt find a k&n that was a cone shape . so I bought the only one I could find witch was about 12" deep and cylinder shaped. It fit in there but threw off the angle that I needed to get it to fit up to the PVC pipe. So I had to make lots of trips to the hardware store. So dont do what I did get the right filter Also there is a guid I think on the install and fix it guide page at www.f-body.org good luck and have fun

Some auto parts stores carry some heavy duty truck parts, probably not Autozone.... Look for independent part stores...
