Yup, throw it away along with all the other AIR and EGR crap! Unless you have to have it..

that depends entirely on where you live, if you have to pass emisioons then put it back on, if theres no real reason to take it off why not just put it back on? If you have headers without AIR, it is made of stainless which has some scrap price if you have enough of it.

yeh iam putting my 383 back together and found it.. i have no air/egr so i guess i dont need it! thanks guys!!!

ha, that damn pipe, i tried geting that thing out in one piece when i did the headers, that was a mistake, 2 cuts later we were good to go, haha.

hey, i am putting together a 383 also and i want to get rid of my air and egr. what do i have to do get them out?

If I'm not mistaking you have to lift the engine off the k-member to get it out in one piece. I've read where people have just hack sawed off as much as they could.

1.Take air pump with hoses and remove them.
2.All egr fittings and line from back of intake manifold need to be removed and block off plates need to be bolted back on the back of intake manifold.
3.Get Non-emissions headers(or i think they make block of plates if you have the fittings on the headers)
4.Get egr/air tuned out of your computer

Yeh my motor was already out of the car so it was easy to take off.i think ppl do just hack saw them off if the motors in the car!

yeah, i tried tin snips first and then broke them, haha that thing is thicker than it looks!

I that the damn pipe that runs by your 2 and 4 spark plug area? It makes changing plugs a bitch with short headers.
