Where to disconnect heater core hoses for flush?

I want/need to flush my heater core. Where is the best spot on the water pump to disconnect the hoses? I don't even know where they connect to on the pump. I figure its easier to disconnect from the pump and run the hose from there then from the heatercore itself.

While it would be "easier" to just flush the core at the firewall, in order to flush the hoses as well, you should do it at the water pump. Go to Shbox.com and click on "How To.... and also Diagram of heater hoses.
