where did you buy your optisparks locally?

where did you buy your optisparks locally?

i asked in pep boys and the guy looked at me like i had 2 heads, none of the parts guys ever even heard of such a thing

so whered you get yours? autozone? napa?

autozone has them....just give them the year etc. and look up distributor..thats why....most people dont go around saying optispark....or duraspark, or TFI or anything else

checker has them but you have to special order them and it takes 2-3 days

Any parts store should have them or be able to get one in a timely manner. As pointed out by Mdacton, you have to tell it to them in general terms, "optispark" is obviously beyond their realm.

I third Mdacton's post. Just ask for a distributor. Most people have no idea what an optispark is.

yea.. the guys face when i said optispark was kinda funny.. he thought i was saying it wrong haha.

and im probably not gonna keep the crappy reman one.. but i cant get my car running to save my life and i wanna just see if the optis the culprit, if this fixes the problem if i can return it ill get a better one.

Advance Auto sells the GM opti, but they're on the high side.

Yeah your best bet is to get direct, or check out the parts lady or whatever on ebay. I hear they have OEM optis for way cheap, and they work great. that's where I'm getting mine from

summitracing.com sells genuine gm opti for 310 bucks. you could probably get it just as fast as a autozone since they have to order it.
