Id call AFR to ask them what springs they put on those heads. The cc305 isnt a very large cam so it wont require anything too crazy but the LT4 springs if thats what was used MAY float the valves.

What you are referring to is static compression ratio. You need to get a compression test that checks to see if there are any cylinders that dont hold a compression be it leaking thru the rings or valves in the head.

any find on the power yet? I've had the same problem for over a year now. I have not readjusted my valves because the car runs too smooth and I am on the stock fuel pump, but my pressure looked fine the last time i checked it.

ulakovic22,
did your car run fine when your valves were too tight? I don't want to go through the trouble of readjusting them if it's not the problem, but with the mods listed in my sig, I should have alot more than 298rwhp, 307rwtq!!!

If you are getting a back fire, its a timing issue. I would look towards, crossed plug wires, opti, or the cam being installed wrong.

The cam seems to be coming up in all my posts.......only way to know for sure is to pull it and install again or install new one...which is what i would do if it came to that....Plus what do you guys think if the Taylor over the valve cover wires....is that a good place..i'm on my third set (shop installed) by running them below the headers.....maybe if i get in there and do it myself right?......But still deciding on what type to install......would you believe after all this work..going through MSD & Talyor wires they put on mow factory 7mm wires.....

Also even though Opti is new can it go bad rigthh away....or be installed improperly.....
