Where to buy a Waterpump Drive Shaft Seal
You know the PITA one that everyone mutilates when trying to install? I tried to install mine and fugged it up.
So I need a new one so I can giver another go.
Is this only a GM Item or can I buy one at a autoparts store? I read somewhere you can buy a whole timing cover kit, but I would rather just purchase the Waterpump Driveshaft seal

Where did you get your extra one ?
I am in the middle of building my engine, so I would like another one ASAP. Thanks for you generosity though

I bought a whole timing cover seal set when I did my cam swap but I am running an electric waterpump so I didn't use the waterpump seal. I wouldn't know where you could get just the seal from any store, but like I said, if you don't need it a.s.a.p. let me know and I will mail you the one I have.

You'll want to install the water pump seal after the timing cover is mounted to help prevent the inner lip from rolling. I found that a pen cap from a Sharpie marker is a good fit for a "ramp" to install the seal. Oil up the inner lips on the seal.
