Where to buy parts for making ORP?
I am looking to make a bolt in ORP that i can weld my cutout into as well. I have a cutout and some 3" exhaust pipe already, I need the male and female flanges that will bolt right up to my catback. I am looking for an auto chain store that might hae these parts, or somewhere in the chicagoland area i can get them. I need them before saturday, so ordering stuff is out. Would a muffler shop have these ends and be able to sell them separately? I noticed thatRK sport had what i need, but is chargine $22 each and i would need a couple connectors. Lemmie know of any places you have bought supplies for making your own ORP...Thanks!
Ive got single cat headers and I am making the same piece. I looked around at different shops for that flange to mate with the catback section and couldn't find it anywhere, of course most places had no idea what I was talking about. I gave up and just bought a used ORP from the board pretty cheap and cut it down and am getting the cutout welded to it with a three bolt flange at the ypipe connection. Doing the same with my cat so I can swap between the two
$22 is pretty cheap for a new flange, I paid twice that for a used orp just to get that piece, I didn't think you could buy it anywhere.

Rk is the only place that I've ever seen that sells that part.
You could make a trip to your local muffler shop after hours and dig through thier scrap bin for an old cat. converter with the right size ball on it, and cut it off.

You could just remove the ball-flange and replace it with a 3-point flange. I took an old stock cat. convertor that blew out and cut the forward end of it off. Bought a piece of 3" pipe and crammed it down the middle of the cat. convertor and had it welded up and sealed, then had a 3-bolt flange welded on the forward end of it. It's the same length overall as the stocker, and the aft end of it I left untouched, so it bolts right up to the cat-back exhaust....and when it's on the car, no one knows that it's just an off-road pipe by looking at it unless I point it out to them.
