where is the best place to buy a new optispark and how much do they go for usually?

On this board Jason Cromer and Dal have a good rep and can get you a brand new one for $200 or so. Theres a lot of threads on this and most have numbers you can reach them at. HTH

Another vote for Jason Cromer, got mine from him. Can't remember the exact price but my local dealership told me $500 and i got it from him for like 200 something.

Just ordered one from Jason Cromer last Wed. It's 195 for the opti and 8 for shipping. So 203 to your door.

I'm taking out my 95 LT1 engine and putting in a 97 LT1(heads, cam, etc)...do you think I should get a new opti for the 97? Mine has 109,000 miles. Just wondering

While you've got it apart, you mine as well. That's quite a bit of miles, if it's the stock opti. Hell I would anyway, just to be safe.
