where to buy an OBDII

where to buy an OBDII

I am looking for an unprogrammed OBDII so I can install a higher torque converter. where would I be able to find one?? Is there a GM part number?? Thanx for any imput!!

You can get one from any GM dealer, and they come unprogrammed. I don't exactly know what the cost is though. Good luck.

It could be a used OBDII as long as its reprogrammable. Thanx for the imput!!

I dont think you can just drop OBDII into OBDI? [I may be wrong tho...]

I've got one for sale since I just did the OBDI conversion. Shoot me a PM with an offer. It's from my 97 formula. All stock programmed and for an auto.

you cant put a OBDII computer into a OBDI car the plugs are differenti would just recommend goin to pcmforless.com

Then why can you put an OBDI in an OBDII car? I'm not saying you can or can't, I'm just curious.

when you put a OBI into aOBDII they just reprogram the OBDII to a OBDI, still a OBDII PCM just reprogrammed

No, thats not correct, because you can buy an OBDI PCM and put in an OBDII car, you just have to switch out the knock sensors OR have a resister put in the PCM. I know this because I have an OBDI pcm in my 97.
