When you delete the AC do you need to plug anything??

When you delete the AC is it as simple as removing the compressor, condensor, etc? or do you have to plug "area's" up?

I did not have to plug anything when I removed my AC. I replaced the condensor with a 1LE AC delete bracket.

nothing to plug, the ac delete bracket is required of course and some folks fill in the side spaces once the condenser is removed to help direct the air through the rad. This is optional - I did not do it and have no problems.

Some folks also remove all the ac equipment into the heaters controls - I revoved all the components to the connector near the PCM that has the 2 pipe connection, I couldn't be bothered ripping into the heater core and all that.

I was going to yank my a/c this weekend, wouldn't you want to plug that 2 pipe connection to keep the system clean if you ever decide to reinstall it? I was going to plug that up along with all the plumbing I removed, you don't want dirt, debris or moisture to get in there if you ever plan to reuse it.

BTW, does anyone have a guide on this procedure, it seems pretty straightforward, just checking though before I tear into it.

You could, but you don't have to

I never plan on reinstalling it - so it wasn't an issue for me

You could put some tape over it or something, mine looks perfectly clean and I haven't had AC for at least 18 months.

Where are these "side spaces" you are referring to?

The condensor is "sandwiched" between the plastic baffle and the radiator (the baffle guides air from under the nose to the condensor/radiator). When you remove the condensor, the plastic baffle ends up about 1" away from the radiator, and air might leak out the gap, rather than going through the radiator. The baffle is sort of flexible so you can force it back against the radiator, or you could put a strip of weatherstrip in ithe gap, or you can just leave it alone. I left it alone and don't have any cooling problems.
