Wheel Stand
Would you believe that a bolt-ons only LT1 imp SS can do the same thing? When I was running mid 13s with sixty foots in the 1.8s people would tell me that they saw air under the left front tire.

I pulled the left front off the ground with a hotcam and a 100 shot. Pulled a 1.53 60 ft. with a completely stock suspension, rear end, and full weight. It'll be pretty difficult to get your car to pull the wheels coming away from a stop light.
my buddy took his nmca pro street car down the road. 700= inch motor 2 chutes everything.......he didn't make it a mile..police followed him home and let him put it in the garage and the he got a free ride in a police car.
Another buddy had a car that would pull a wheel at lights on DR's but that was short lived also......I would not try doing that dumb stuff on the street

My car is not setup to really pull a tire It had long stayed down on all four wheels. It was just the last two good weather good prep days I raced it pulled the drivers front with the low 1.6 short times.
I will admit I would like a good picture of that but if anything I think future suspension mods will keep the nose down more and hopefully the car going forward faster.
Like some have said lifting the nose on many cars is just wasted engergy. Need to be putting down a whole lot of power before you need that kind of weight transfer.

I can see why you would want to lift the wheels at a light: how impressive that would be! But do it with a car set up for the dragstrip, and you will be breaking several laws at once and as said above you won't get away with it for long.
But there is another way. Tickets come from excessive noise, spinning tires, reckless (not being under control), and of course speeding. So, to make it easier to get away with it (maybe only one ticket at a time instead of several?), you could build a relatively quiet car set up specifically to wheelie. A trick/stunt car, not set up for ET's but for launch and extreme weight transfer. Think 'Junkyard Wars' assignment to get a car to wheelie. Move the rear axle forward, put as much weight up high and in the rear as possible, gear 1st real low, and maybe replace the front shocks with air cylinders that release and throw the front upwards when you launch. Hide a ton of ballast in the rear bumper, roof and decklid. Kinda like that time I had a fat kid on the back of my Suzuki 90 dirtbike. I bet you could cut the HP requirement to wheelie a Camaro to 300 or less. With those tricks anything can be made to wheelie:

It sure would be slow and handle terribly, but if street wheelies are your goal.....

Last time at the strip I saw this thing.

Olds 455 mounted behind the rear tires, was a bottle just in case he needed it too. Wheels up does not necessarily mean fast.
