Cool Wheel sizes????i wanna go wide!!

I have the stock salad shooter 16in rims on my z28, i am considering buying either 17 or 18in crager SS's or american racing torq thrust II's .... any opions on theses wheels... I want to get the widest tires possible. So how much biger can i go on the front and back . I know 17 or 18x 9.5 fits, but i want to get the widest tires on possible..... just give me a good idea of a good wheel and tire size set up... thanks.... stroker motor is on the way this spring and I don't want to be spinning

If you do a ZR1 replica you can go 17x9.5 in the front with a 285 tire and a 17x11 in the rear with a 315.

I used to have 275 in the front and 315 in the rear...the 315 rubbed the inside of the wheel well on the drivers side, if you go thst big you might want to think about a spacer.

I have 17x11s in the back of my lowered Formula and it doesn't rub at all, on the inside of the wheel well. (get an adj. panhard rod) It rubs on the top of the wheel wells because my car is so low and I haven't rolled my fenders yet.

BTW you can also fit 17x11s up front if you shave the knuckle off the top of the spindle.

If it was rubbing on just the one side, could it possibly have been the rear not centered???

The big wide tires and wheels will slow you down if you dont have alot of mods. Im pretty sure the 17x9.5's all around slowed down my car.

I have the 315" Nitto DR's in the back and the 275's up front. I have experienced no rubbing whatsoever and I did not have to modify anything. My car is also lowered. Hope this helps.
