what's your RPM when doing 150 mph??
idont recall anyone asking you what the coroner does on his job. maybe he ought to thank us we keep him employed. so shut up mind your buisiness and read the first post on this thread. hes asking to find out if any thing is wrong with his car.if your not going to contribute the shutup.
progessive versus aggressive driving
I too have felt the urge for speed- but I only let loose with perfect turf and traffic conditions ... and driving solo.
One time, I was caught doing about 45 over the posted speed in Ok or was it in NM via US 40 (eastbond).
Using a bit of diplomacy and humor was what let the ticket gods smile at me that night --- was only given a warning. That was the one of the few times being stopped by our friendly 5 0 s.
I also mentioned the difference between aggressive and progressive driving-the later being of choice. And to boot, a few minutes before I just washed Magnolia and was "air drying" her --- getting the most water droplets off as much as possible. As we all know it's a social responsibility keeping these fine motor cars' shining armor sparkling.
That was in 1997 and I driving solo. Never would I put others especially Giovanni Luggage in harms way.
Doing 3000 with about 110 MPH If I recall correctly...

I was just looking at that RMP vs. Speed Calc that someone linked to. With my 2.73 gears and an A4 it says that my car should be doing 98 MPH at 5700 RPM in 2nd. When my car grabs the shift from 2nd to 3rd at WOT it's only doing 90 according to the speedo, is there something wrong with the calc on that page or is something wrong with my speedo?

Did it once about 5 yrs ago in a 96Z A4 I went 150+ on a LONG, STRAIGHT, SMOOTH, WIDE HWY at 3am. I couldn't see a car when I hit the gas but I found one real quick! I couldn't imagine the face of the driver when I ran by at that speed. I'm glad it was a six lane HWY. Besides I don't look down at that speed everything comes by real quick!
All I can say I would hate to be in the back seat toilet at that speed.
That RPM sounds about right. give or take 200.
Funny though I've done over 100-110 now only a hand full of times in the past five yrs.
