Here is a nice calculator for wheel, gears, tranny options for MPH.
http://www.f-body.org/gears/
Sounds like you were still in 3rd gear. Stay safe. Later>>>>>>

with 3:73's and an m6, speedometer corrected for the gears, different cam, and open headers, with the needle on the peg, I am at 5100 in 5th! my shift from 4th to 5th is at 120 at 5800, so I think I can go faster?

yeah but most "sane" people drive mini-vans and gas mileage friendly vehicles. I for one, have never been accused of being sane!

ive done 171 mph by gps with a tail wind for what ever its worth. and i was turning 4900 rpms in 6th, im not sure i beleive the gps was correct but the needle stayed on the peg for about 30 seconds.

and ive done 155 mph at about 4400 rpms. but i think my tachs off quite abit. so its kinda hard to tell exaclly what rpm i was doing. but thats what the tach said, for what its worth.

on fbody.org 156 is at 4200 with 4.10s i said 4400 is what i did i guees you can add the extra rpms to added friction that the chart doesnt factor in, and as i stated my tach is off a good bit.

when i get the cable for my lap top i can tell you for sure.

what do you think i should be at.

Ask the Coroner and CHP when you total your car...your gauges are found on the street and booked in as evidence. And oh, that meat mess on the road...you know someone has to clean you and your friends up off the freeway. I heard they use a big shovel and special trash cans. Hazzard material gear with masks. Forensics take a lil sample to since your meat is still warm on the pavement. You know they need to get the time of death.
