i am about to do a 383 or 396 stroker kit to my lt1. right now it is my daily driver, so i was wondering what kind of gas mileage you guys in your 383/396's get. i am planning on going with nutek motorsports for my kit.

396. I average 210-245 a tank. But this is at 120mph or so average on the autobahn so that isn't bad at all. Around town maybe 200 to a tank but I don't know for sure because I rarely drive like I have since I'm always goosin it somewhere along the way.

 

I wish we could legally drive that fast on freeway's.

 

Geez, I only get like 180 per tank in my near stock 350.

 

When I was completly stock I avg about 300-325 a tank being modest. When I went LT4 heads and cam w/ shorties I went down to 250-265 a tank around town and that was over here in Germany w/ the LT4 setup. On the autobahn w/ a avg speed of 110 I'd get a little over 290 to a tank.

 

170 miles to a tank in the city with a 3200 stall converter.

On the highway its much better at 235 miles to a tank.

Stock was 235-240 miles in the city and 270 miles on the hwy.

 

There were a couple of legs on my trip to Ohio last fall where I got 20-21 mpg. Around town and in normal driving I usually get 13-15mpg.
